This sample-set is currently available as an "Italian Baroque" virtual instrument based largely on recordings made in 2013 in an unavoidable noisy environment. Augustine Takats spared no effort in extracting as much out of these samples as was technically possible and has succeeded to some extent in bringing to us an organ that is pretty close to the original.
Attempts will be made to do fresh recordings at a quieter time in order to reduce the need for digital manipulation and to render the virtual instrument a true representation of the real instrument, preserving the historic character of the organ built by Santucci in 1775 and reconstructed by Robert Buhagiar in 2001, reversing the many changes carried out over the decades that destroyed its Sicilian baroque style, and restoring the voice back to that typical of the original organ builder.
This website is the only legitimate place to download the sample-sets related to Naxxar Organ.
Currently available only for HW4.
* File 01 (dry) is required before installing File 02 so both will sent for the wet / surround version.
